In 2012, Russell Public Communications established the Russell Public Scholarship to provide educational enrichment opportunities for Sahuaro High School alumni. Matt Russell, the agency's CEO and a Sahuaro High School alumnus, created the scholarship in commemoration of Russell Public's 10th anniversary.
A minimum of one, non-renewable $1,000 scholarship will be awarded each year, and the funds may be applied to any accredited college or university in the United States. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a 4-year degree in political science, public administration, communications or journalism.
To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be seniors at Sahuaro High School in Tucson, Arizona, and citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Applicants must also completely fill out the application, submit a current and sealed copy of their high school transcripts and submit all required materials by 5:00 pm on April 2, 2012.
